Dean has extensive experience on set as talent in television commercials, feature films and TV dramas, and has also crewed as an armourer on many varied productions.

Among his previous work , Dean worked on Avatar, directed by James Cameron. Not only does Dean have an on-screen role in the film, but his aviation background as a pilot (he has a Bachelor of Science in Aviation) meant he was also the Helicopter Trainer for the cast and art department.

Dean has recently completed work as a cast member on the new Hollywood production of Yogi Bear, Directed by Eric Brevig.

After traveling the world, with stints in Russia, Turkey, Spain, France, England & Australia, Dean has now settled in Wellington, New Zealand.

Dean lives with his wife of five years Veronica, and enjoys travel, Apple Macs, flying, film, rugby, cooking and eating.
